The South Mediterranean University (SMU), the first English-speaking private university in Tunisia, offers internationally accredited programs. With a diverse student population of over 40 nationalities, SMU is a global hub connected to internationally renowned academic partners.
Founded in 2002 by Professor Mahmoud Triki and situated in Berges du Lac 2, Tunis, SMU comprises a School of Business (MSB) and a School of Engineering (MedTech). The MSB offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and executive programs, while MedTech provides Bachelor’s, Engineering, Master’s, and executive programs.
SMU fosters partnerships with prestigious schools and universities worldwide, facilitating exchange, transfer, and double degree programs at all levels. As a result, SMU has established itself as an academic reference in the Mediterranean basin and Africa, offering international diplomas in Tunisia.
SMU favors students’ personal development, with available personal advisors and active pedagogy putting the student at the center of their learning journey. The Advising & Counceling Center has been created to help students keep a healthy state of mind and help them in finding proper on-and-off-campus resources. SMU Career & Alumni Center aims to bridge the gap between professional life needs and our educational system to provide our students with the right skills and knowledge so that they succeed in their professional lives.
